Many of our clients dream of starting their own businesses to ensure financial Independence. Our Micro Enterprise Enterprise Program can help individuals explore business opportunities, evaluate the viability of a particular idea and develop and implement a business plan to successfully launch a company. We serve as a test bed for ideas and innovation and provide an incubator in which the business is nourished.
Multiple Choices Center for Independent Living began the Micro Enterprise Program in the fall of 2009. To date 21 consumers have successfully completed the program and are on the way to enhancing their income. Georgia Handmade Boxes and Packaging Company along with Jamie’s Beads by Design were the pilot programs. Today they are both viable business entities.
We are committed to providing the tools and resources required for individuals with disabilities to start and grow small businesses throughout the region. The Micro Enterprise Program begins with a 10 week Start Your Own Business (SYOB) course that we offer through a partnership with East Athens Development Corporation (EADC). Participants graduate with a business plan ready to implement.
We are proud of our participant’s success and invite you to join us.
